Jewellery care

Selma pieces are waterproof and tarnish-free, so they are made for real life. A little care keeps them looking new for years.

The short version

• You can shower, swim and exercise in your Selma jewellery.
• Put jewellery on last, after perfume, sun cream and hairspray.
• Take it off before hot tubs, saunas and chlorinated pools where you will be in for a long stretch.
• Store pieces separately so chains do not tangle or scratch.

Cleaning

Warm water, a drop of unscented washing-up liquid, and a soft toothbrush. Rinse and dry completely with a soft cloth before storing. Do not use silver dip, ultrasonic cleaners or anything abrasive on plated pieces.

Pearls and natural stones

Pearls, opal and turquoise are softer and more porous than gemstones. Wipe them with a damp cloth only, never soak them, and keep them away from household cleaning products.

Storing

Keep your jewellery in the pouch or box it arrived in, somewhere dry and out of direct sunlight. Fasten clasps before putting chains away and they will not knot.

Your two year warranty

Every piece is covered against tarnishing and manufacturing faults for two years from delivery. If something is not right, email support@selmajewelry.com with a photo and your order number and we will sort it.
